Remove Mild Stains and Discolorations on Your Teeth
Remove stains and discoloration from your teeth with a simple whitening procedure available at AuSable Family Dental, P.C.
Teeth whitening is an effective tool if the stains may have been caused by certain foods like coffee, tea, wine, etc., and if the discoloration is very mild.
Be sure to ask Dr. Oppermann or Dr. Whittaker if your a good candidate for this treatment upon your next visit.
Teeth Whitening Is Mostly Done in Your Own Home
While you're in the dentist's chair, we will take an impression of your mouth and create a specialized mouth guard that holds bleach against your teeth.
At home, you will use the guard and material for 30 to 45 minutes each day for up to two weeks. At the end of the treatment and for up to two weeks following the end of the treatments, whitening can occur.
Alternatives for Whitening Treatments Are Available
Before your teeth can be whitened, we must check for cavities because the whitening gel can cause serious damage if it enters those areas. If we discover cavities, they must be repaired before any tooth whitening takes place.
